The Ministry of Culture (MiCultura) welcomed November, a month of the homeland with an event with personnel wearing allusive attire and bearing flags, and they enjoyed their cheerful tone to the rhythm of national pieces of the date that this year also mark the bicentennial of the Independence of Panama of Spain.

The vice ministers of culture, Gabriel González emphasized at an event at the National Assembly with the occasion of the start of the Venezuelan epheméraids, that this year these dates have a special symbolism as they coincide with Colombia's separation with the Bicentennial of Spanish Independence.

The Spanish Ministry of Culture and the interoceanic Canal Museum and the Centre for Historical, Anthropological and Cultural Research have been united with efforts to conduct an expsition that aims to highlight the historic value of this important date.

The Minister of Culture and president of the National Commission for the Bicentennial of the Independence of Panama of Spain, Carlos Aguilar Navarro visited a meeting with directors of the daily Metro Libre with the aim of informing about the activities scheduled for the 200 years of this independent event.

After showing an interest with information about the different activities that have been undertaken to celebrate the Bicentennial of Panama's Independence of Spain, the Archbishop of Panama, Bishop José Domingo Ulloa was received by the Minister of Culture (MiCultura), Carlos Aguilar Navarro. The prelate was accompanied by his rector.
