Panama, 3 July 2025. - Through the eyes of the thousands of passengers passing through Tocuman International Airport, master Aristides Ureña, presents his exhibition to the world "The princesses and their manes, The Venus of Panama." At the hands of the Ministry of Culture, the 43 clay statues can be admired until 30 August this year.

It's a sculptural project in Red Clay that explores Panamanian preHispanic memory, through ceramic art, in figure molded with traditional techniques and arranged in sequence of ritual character to welcome us to this infrastructure, for the cultural and tourist development of Panama.

"The princesses and their manes" represent an offering, not only to the buried memory but also to the earth that still speaks to us, to the hands that shape them and to the silent presences that demand their place from today.

At the opening of the exhibition, master Ureña commented that the project was undertaken in 2017 and intended to bring people closer to the centuries-old culture of Panama. He explained that our country developed a "very smooth polychrome ceramics."

"as an artisan we conduct this work that is here and that purports to be a look that looks for an identity and how to project it in a modernity, it's simply a provocative way to technically grip and search into the depths, what we Panamanian and the millennial culture," the master concluded.

For her part, Vice Minister Arianne Benedetti addressed the master: "Thank you for the whole world passing through here will be able to share with us, thank you for representing us at an international level as you have been, you are a banner for our country, for our art for our culture, for what we are, for what we want to be, for how we can safeguard our traditions, you are all that, I thank you for being here."

The deputy ministers emphasized that we are in a government that wants people to grow up, have tools and live the experience of culture, "because culture is a right, a right of man and we the Ministry of Culture will not rest until we feel that way and that all Panamanians understand and live."
