With the motto "Inheritance: Ancestral knowledge", Panama prepares to live one of its most important cultural celebrations: 45th edition of the National Crafts Fairand will be performed from Wednesday 30 July to Sunday 3 Augustand ATLAPA Convention Centre.

The fair, organized for the third consecutive year by the Ministry of Culture of Panama, reaffirms its commitment to the cultural identity of the country and pays tribute to the ancestral knowledge that defines our native communities, Afro-descendants, mestizo and peasant communities. A platform that honors the past, celebrates the present and projects the future of handmade art.

At this issue they have been received 741 catalogs of artisan from across the country. Following a strict assessment process, 643 artisan have been selectedwith the support of the Panama Tourism Authority.

The Minister of Culture, María Eugenia Herrera, He emphasized that this fair "is a platform of dignity and respect that engulfs the economy of hundreds of Panamanian families that work hard throughout a year to present the product of their hands, with them they support and honor their lives and homes with an honor, preserving the authenticity of their ancestors."

That activity offers a number of Unique experiences for the whole family, including inclusive, educational and artistic attractions, asdemonstrative challenges from traditional technologies, to learn directly from their bearers the cultural value of each practice.

That's how every year, we'll give up the San José Decoran award that distinguishes the trajectory and excellence of Panamanian Crafts TeachersTo this year 2025, seven artisan have been put forward. The winner will be selected by the Interinstitutional Commission next 10 July.

The fair will also have an exhibition and sale space for crafts:

• Gastronomic corridor: 5 pits, 6 tasting jobs for typical Panamanian plates and 8 spaces dedicated to artisan cosmetics.
• Training: for artisan and general public, including themes such as "How to Open Your Shop in Amazon”.
• Sorting of the National Lottery at the fair.

• Artworks and cultural functions at La Huaca Theater.

The Minister of Culture gave special thanks to President of the Republic José Raúl Mulino, Jury Assessor, Public notaryand State system of radio and television (SERTV)as well as its Director General, Dustin Guerraand his collaboration with them in the conduct of this fair.
