Panama, February 7, 2026. During the summer holidays, the project "Play at the Casco," advanced by the office of the Casco Antiguo of the Ministry of Culture, developed a cultural, educational and recreational program aimed at children and adolescents between 6 and 16 years old from the communities of San Felipe, El Chorrillo and Santa Ana, including children with disabilities, with the aim of promoting social inclusion and equitable access to educational and recreational spaces.

Children and youth with volunteers for three weeks have been living with an outdoor experience and have been keeping them from risk environments and providing them with secure spaces to express and develop their creativity.

The events included visits to iconic sites such as Panama La Vieja, Portobelo and San Lorenzo, linking these tours with the history of the Casco Antiguo, and these experiences have been added to a pool day, contact with nature in forest reserves, old-age games as it goes, can and Jax, as well as challenges that rescue traditions that are part of the collective memory of Panamanian people.
