Panama, August 16, 2025 - The Ministry of Culture was represented at the International Book Fair (FIL) of Panama with a variety of programs, where cinema, literature and local art were leading challenges.

One of the most outstanding events was the event "Convert a film script to novels," with the star participation of the film maker, writer and currently deputy ministers of culture, Arianne Benedetti.

Along with actor and producer Renan Fernández and national director of the arts, Gianni Bianchini, Benedetti shared valuable anecdotes and lessons about his creative process, revealing how he brought to the screen great stories that were born in his novels.

The conversation focused about the fundamental differences between writing a novel and a script, with an emphasis on the structure, language and how to translate ideas.

The deputy ministers emphasized that while imagination and imagination are key, the detailed description of characters and environments is what gives life to a story.

Arianne Benedetti deepened his production of his cheaply films, such as "Wake up Mother" and "More than Brothers." He mentioned that his "Wake up Mother" script reached 98 pages, a testimony of thorough work behind each project.

During his talk, he reflected about his own growth as a writer and a writer throughout the years, noting that his narrative changes and gets enriched with every experience. "I learned so much from my characters, I fell in love with them. It's impressive to do the work of a novel from a film that isn't made," she said.

To celebrate the impact of her work, she gave copies of her book "More than Brothers," a gesture that was greatly welcomed by the assistants and that highlights MiCultura's commitment to promoting local culture and talent.

The space of the Ministry of Culture at FIL has been a centre for learning, entertainment and a vital platform for Panamanian talent, strengthening the role of culture as a pillar of society.
