Panama, 1 July 2025. - To consolidate institutional and democratic access to the arts, preserve national heritage and promote culture as a public good and strengthen our identity have been the aims of the Ministry of Culture in its first year of management.

Through inclusive policies and development-oriented strategies, initiatives have been advanced to ensure citizen participation in the construction of a dynamic and accessible cultural landscape for all.

RETURN TO CULTURAL FAMILY, The restoration of important works such as the Reina Torres de Arauz Anthropological Museum, Santiago de la Gloria Castle, Santiago Fort, Fort San Fernando and Fort San Jerónimo, both at Portobelo Bay, was re-established.

THE WEEKS OF THE ARTS
The high educational and technical institutes at Fine Arts and Folklore have returned to the Ministry of Culture and have allowed an enrolment of 8,400 students, 38 administrative and a total of 321 teachers to be integrated and student enrolments have been double.

INFRASTRUCTURE INFRASTRUCTURE FACTS FOR CULTURE
The equipment of the "Carmen Cedeño" and "Roque Cordero" and the Multifunctional Theater of City of the Arts have been advanced. Progress has been made at the Center for Higher Education of Fine Arts and Folklore and the Centro Cultural Stelina Tebeira, the Centro de Folklore de Las Tables, the Centro de Educación Superior de Bellas Artes and Folkore de Changuinola and the Centro Cultural Anel Omar Rodriguez in Aguadulce.

The Transistmic Colonial Route as a Panamanian Cultural Heritage is awarded legal recognition. The "Fairy Flag," a symbol of our Panamanian, is currently undergoing restoration with the cooperation of the Kingdom of Spain and with the support of the private sector.

PROMOTION OF CULTURAL AND CITIZEN RIGHTS
A Modernization and Rehabilitation Plan for 40 public libraries at national level was initiated.
The National Network of Orquestas and Coros Infantiles and Juveniles of Panama reached remote communities. The Network has 11 modules in 12 communities, with an impact on about 7,000 children and youth throughout the country.

DEVELOPMENT OF THE ARTESANAL SECTOR
The participation of a thousand 806 artisan was achieved in 92 paths, fairs and markets throughout the country, implementation of the new artisan card with QR code, enabling the identification, traceability and access to institutional benefits.

DEMOCRATIZATION OF ARTS
The implementation of projects such as Vibra Panama, National Symphony Orchestra, Panama's National Ballet, at national and international level, the National Festivals of the Arts, National Literature Conforms, Visual Arts and Musical Composition, had an important citizen participation.

Additional competitions were held at Ricardo Miró, Gustavo Batista Cedeño, Carlos F. Changmarín, Rosa M. Britton, Pedro C. Vásquez, Ariel Barria, the Roberto Lewis National Visual Arts Competition and the Roque Cordero Award for Musical Composition. More than 500 literary works were evaluated.

PANAMA DEVELOPES his AUDIOVASUAL INDUSTRY
The Fondo Cine 2024 contest was held with a budget of $2.4 million to develop 17 productions at their stage of production, production, after production, distribution and display.

"Brown" who performed his premiere at the Mar de Plata Film Festival in Argentina. "Me Dan el Panzer" was selected for his world premiere at the 55th International Film Festival of India (IFFI).

IMPACT OF CREATIVE Economics IN PANAMA
The Cultural Development attestation, a fiscal document with a recognition of 35% of the investment made for the payment of the RSI and the ITBMS, was established.

The Creative Markets, this project aims at empowering entrepreneurs from the creative and cultural industries. A National Forum for Creative Economics was held for the first time in Panama, designed to train both public and key members of private society.

Creative Economics workshops have been put into place at the Colón Center of Art and Culture to empower a first generation of creative economy managers at national level.

INSTITUTIONAL DEVELOPMENT
A system of Management in Anti-Bribery and Compliance was put into place under ISO 37001: 2016 and 37301: 2021 standards in the areas of Legal Advice, Finance and Administration.

The project of a Satellite Cultural Account was implemented and with evidence of descriptive reports about the advances of the practice of the arts. The program Expresas tu arte developed the Sixth Inclusive Gala, an artistic event designed to promote the inclusion and visibility of persons with disabilities in performing arts and other cultural expressions.
