In 201 chronicles, young people show their love for Panama

The literary flow grows and this time with 201 young Panamanian chronists that reflect in the book "500 stories," stories about characters, historic events, culture, sports and places that was presented at an emotional ceremony with the participation of his deputy ministers of culture, Gabriel González.
"From the Ministry of Culture we extend to the program" 500 stories "all best and know that they have with us to promote the youth literature of Central America," stated Vice Minister González.
Retiring to the youth, the deputy minister expressed that "I have a great desire to read his chronicles, to know what were his challenges. I wish to discover how you see the adult world around you, what you think about our growing metropolis as you do."
That issue resulted from the participation of 201 young people from 13 to 17 years old from 24 public and private schools from Panama and West Panama Provinces, who have been undergoing workshops at their schools to write chronics, guided by their respective teachers and by an editorial team with "500 stories" and currently reflected in a text with narrations to be read.
The presentation and presentation of the first issue of "500 Stories" that was developed at the Ateneo of the City of Knowledge included a program where organizers, sponsors, editorial teams, teachers and students gave their testimony about the experience and opportunity represented by this project for the country.
The educational project "500 Stories" is an educational transformation project that was born in 2019 to empower young people through writing and reading, with a view to rethinking how to teach and learn and using elements of journalism to write stories in a practical and creative manner.
Following two years of pause for the pandemic, the educational transformation project was re-launched in 2022 with the intention of repeating with two editions every year. For the third edition, the project is currently spreading throughout Central America, Mexico and the Caribbean, seeking to impact more schools and discover new writers from the region.
