Health and Cultural Fair for the Day of the Deaf

In the framework of the International Week of Sordas, the Ministry of Culture (MiCultura) will conduct Saturday 24 September at 9: 00 a.m. at Andres Bello Park in the Via Argentina sector, the "Health and Culture Fair," with public and private partners to offer different social and cultural recreational services and activities for the whole family.
The Panamanian Institute of Special Habilitation (Iphe), the National Disability Secretariat (Senadis), the Social Security Fund (CSS), the Ministry of Labour Development (Mitradel), the National Secretary for Children and Adolescents and Family (Senniaf), and with the support of the Bella Vista Communal Board will explain their programs and health care to all public but focused mainly on the population with disabilities.
On the initiative, Vice-Minister of Culture Gabriel González emphasized that "the Health and Culture Fair we have organized in commemoration of the International Week of Sordas has as its fundamental aim, to democratize information for persons with hearing disabilities, bringing them closer to institutions, so that they can have access to basic health care, education and employment opportunities, among other proposals that are of interest to them."
The activity is free and open to all public with a view to enabling persons with disabilities to enjoy a recreational and family day with inclusive activities such as educational and interactive workshops, sign language, employment recruitment opportunities, vaccination, artistic and cultural performances and so forth.
