The Minister of Culture Carlos Aguilar Navarro and his work team conducted a tour of the province of Chiriquí where they inspected several projects, including the refurbishment of the Center for Higher Studies of Fine Arts and Folklore of David and the restoration of the Ferrocarril station in the Bugaba District, as well as the production of certificates to entrepreneurs from the program CREA Panama 2030 and Colmena reading centers to communities with difficult access.

Yessenia Sánchez, Special Project Director at MiCultura on the tour expressed "we as a Cultural Ministry have been dedicated to cultural entrepreneurship and that people can promote that culture from their region that intangible heritage, that can lead them to become a business and that will be their livelihood to their families."

"We have projects at regional level as with the whole issue of restoration of the national network of museums, the ministry has 18 museums to its administration and we are generating employability in each of them that are intervented," added Sánchez.

Roberto Gómez, from the company Teams MepSA S.A and in charge of the remodeling of the Center for Higher Studies of Fine Arts and Folklore of David stated that "we are practically at the final line, the Center takes an advance of 75%."

He added that "this centre will be best in the area with this investment will be at the level of other schools and will be with excellent conditions."
The work at the Centre includes: changing the electrical part, plumbing into baths, painting, roof cover, drainage system, access to disabled people, polish floor remodeling of the amphitheater and new dance room with capacity for 50 people, added Gómez.

To Carlos Aguilar Navarro, "today we have dedicated the day to the province of Chiriquí, we will continue to work with passion and will of the local authorities, we aim that this year we can re-open and re-open all these works that are currently being performed by the central government of the local authorities, the funds of decentralization, the town councils and especially the citizens of the province"

For his part, Rafael Quintero, Mayor of the Bugaba District mentioned "The Ferrocarril Museum has a 75% advance, a structure with more than 40 years of abandonment," we hope to have it open to the community in the coming months and that this will be a reference for education, tourism and culture and that will be of benefit to the population of the Bugaba community and the Chiriquí region.
