MiCultura PROMOTES BETWEEN LABORAL CONDITIONS FOR ARTESANTS

Fifty-nine (59) artisans from the community of Piriatí in the region of Emberá were trained and accredited at the first day of work organized by the Ministry of Culture (MiCultura) through the national direction of Crafts.
The action was aimed at artisans who are dedicated to manufacturing objects of wood such as ships, baskets, paintings, accessories for typical attire and works on fabrics such as bags, handbags, earrings, necklaces and others.
On behalf of MiCultura, Deputy Minister Gabriel González emphasized that the promotion of this type of accreditation contributes to strengthening the family economy and thus to fighting poverty and inequality especially at remote locations.
He emphasized that the National Government through the Ministry of Culture "continues to work for your well-being" and at the same time congratulated them for their excellent work in their communities and called them to continue on that path to "advance and grow."
In addition to giving visibility to the country's artisan with accreditation, they can participate at fairs, festivals, or display at commercial centers where MiCultura is participating. They can be added to the Social Security Fund's share and also be exempt from the 7% payment at the time of acquiring the inputs that are used to manufacture their crafts.
Local authorities such as Carlos Gil, Cacique de piriatí Emberá, Rosalinda Garabato, an alternate to the Cacique and president of the Agustín Berrugatte Congress, co-workers of the national leadership of Artesanias, have been attending his work tour.
