They conduct global studies for Social and Cultural Satellite Account in Panama.

"Economic Valuation of Cultural Heritage" is the theme that specialists have been offering as part of the cycle of lectures that the Ministry of Culture offers for the implementation of the Inter-institutional Plan of the Panama Cultural Satellite Account.

That master's conference, organized by the Planning Office, had been with experts from the National Institute of Statistics and Geography (INEGI) of Mexico, as are Manuel Pérez, Carlos Pelestor and Víctor Pérez, who shared with their assistants their experience with the measurement of the Satellite Cultural Account in their countries.

Gabriel González, his deputy ministers of culture, stated "this strategy designed between the end of 2020 and the first half of 2021, has the leadership of this ministry and with the active participation of a number of public and private institutions.

The result of this management was an opportunity to identify technical, political and financial needs that we have to give impetus to ensuring that the Civil and Cultural Satellite Account intersects with the national institutional processes and to promote its sustainability over time.

For Annett Araúz, Director of the Planning Office at MiCultura, "we have established strategic alliances with the National Institute of Statistics and Census (INEC) and other institutions in managing statistics in our country, that data generation will reflect and visualize the inputs of the economic activities of agents and of the creative ecosystem of Panama, enabling them to make key public policy decisions.

The Satellite Account is a national project. "We need to create synergies with public and private institutions with trade unions, civil society and academies for the collective construction of these necessary Panamanian cultural statistics and so if and only if we contribute to the measurement of Panama's culture satellite account."

Diana Marcela Rey, consultant to the Inter-American Development Bank (BID), introduced the theme "The challenges of economic integration.

The Satellite Account represents a methodological framework that allows us to organize the economic aspects of a field of study by following schemes that are supported by the guidelines of the central framework of national accounts.

It can be measured by analyzing specific sectors and at the same time generating useful information for public policy design and implementation.

The main value of Cultural Heritage is what it represents in today's society, its historic value as a resource to generate identity, prestige and strengthen the culture of the people.

The importance of economic value lies in the fact that a heritage should be preserved because it illustrates the history of a territory or a community and this has helped to maintain a sense of common membership and destiny and that it should be preserved as a monument or an object that attests to artistic value while others have no.
