In support of cultural initiatives, the Ministry of Culture (MiCultura) provided an accompaniment to children and teachers from the Rogelio Sinan Reading Circle at the Escuela de Playa Chiquita at La Chorro, who, at the occasion of the Panama Writer's Day, held a dramatization of the Legend of La Tuliedad, of the book "Narraciones Panamenas" by Berta María Cabezas.

To continue to promote reading among these children, MiCultura gave them a number of books by Panamanian authors with the aim of strengthening their activities and helping to strengthen the content of the library at this educational centre.

Playa Chiquita is a rural community of La Sorrera where families live in vulnerable environments and at social disadvantage, so through the national leadership of the arts we are still committed to leading the program "Read and Build at School," as a proposal for reader development in communities with more needs.

On the other hand, the School of Chiquita Beach has teachers that encourage their children to find in their reading the wisdom that guides them creatively to be good people and to have a future, as Reinaldo Montenegro, a mediator of the reading club.
