Amid an afternoon filled with joy, Panama's Network of Youth Orchestra and Chorus through the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) celebrated its fifth anniversary with a concert at the National Theater where children and youth have shown their skills and skills in several musical disciplines.

"On this anniversary we also celebrate the capacity for resilience, creative imagination, hope for a better future and the commitment of all those involved in this beautiful project," emphasized the Minister of Culture (MiCultura), Carlos Aguilar Navarro.

"The National Network of Coros and Orquestas forms an important project of our institution, as it allows to articulate the two cross-cutting challenges of public policy of culture: the promotion of the cultural rights of the population and the contribution of culture to sustainable development," added Aguilar Navarro.

After a period of absence at the stage, and after the pandemic that caused the closure of a number of activities, the Network of Orchestra and Youth Chors of Panama delight them with their songs, rhythms and musical performances.

For Dino Nugent, director of the Orchestra Network, "it's encouraging for our students to come back to a stage with a new challenge and new changes, which have become a very great commitment not only for young people but also, for different teachers, for each member of the orchestra."

"We are preparing for future presentations, by September there will be three big events with camps and concert, obviously strictly complying with measures established by Health Authorities," said Professor Nugent.

The event was attended by representatives of several international agencies, the incumbent of MiCultura, Carlos Aguilar Navarro, Aleida Ferreyra, UNDP representative in Panama, Aristides Royo, Canal Minister and other personalities.
