Two new Fairy Reading Centres have been established at the Ancón and Curundú Reforms in Panama District as part of the National Government's plan through the Ministry of Culture (MiCultura) to give children, youth and adults an opportunity to have access to works by Panamanian authors that have been awarded at different competitions organized by the Ministry.
He responded to his deputy Minister of Culture, Gabriel González, representing MiCultura, as president of the opening event, from the Reading Center at the Family and Community Center of Education (CEFACEC) Centinelas del Future in Section 1, from San Francisco in the Kuna Nega community and also at the Curundú Community Board.
Deputy Minister González invited children and their parents and youth to make use of these books, because it's through reading that new knowledge and "leads them to have dreams and desires in their lives."
He also called on children currently attending these reading centers to report and invite other friends to share their knowledge through these Colmena reading centers as a program designed by the national government and chaired by the president Laurentino Cortizo to bring knowledge to urban locations and also to the most remote.
He reiterated that these aren't just any books, these are novels, stories and other literary genres that have been winners of literature competitions that are organized by the Ministry of Culture.
At San Francisco de Kuna Nega, an Ancón correction, she was represented by the Junta Communal, Marilú Guerra and the Centro de Lectura Colmena, and at Curundú she was represented by Ana López by the Junta Communal and will also be attended by three mediators of reading.
Following these renditions, José Ismael Herrera, Secretary General of My Culture, opened two reading centers in Eastern Panama, one at "The House of Second Youth" at San Lorenzo at Las Mañanitas and the second at the Communal Board at Pedregal.
Ismael Herrera also emphasized the importance of reading about the individual's training while at the same time emphasized that through the National Government with these spaces, citizens will have access to the best of Panamanian literature, as they are winners of national literary competitions.
