Panama, June 26, 2026 - To oversee implementation and compliance with established times, the Secretary of Meas, José Ramón Icaza, undertook a technical inspection visit to the construction and restoration project of the Reina Torres Museum of Arauz (Marta), an old Panamanian Man's Museum, and his office was run by Samilith Stanziola, Special Projects.

) During the course they found that the work currently found itself at the stage of completion and installation of key supplies. The project advanced in accordance with the terms established to ensure its success, scheduled for the first quarter of 2027.

The monitoring included a review of all levels of the complex, including both the restoration of the historic building and the development of new installations that will be part of the museum's opening.

) The technical challenges reached to date have been the completion of structural phases at all levels of the building, the installation of an electrical plant and a water reserve tank, and the start of the work of landscape and adequacy of the urban environment surrounding the project.

) One of the key points of the visit was the storage room, an area intended for scientific storage and maintenance of the collection of the museum. That space will have more than 16,000 pieces that make up the heritage of the institution.

) The Reina Torres de Arauz Museum's project purifies as the first great museum in the country focused on bringing together the anthropological and historic wealth of the Panamanian population. The permanent exhibition will have representative samples from all regions of Panama, including legendary pieces, gold objects, goldsmiths and metates, and will consolidate itself as a high-value cultural reference for both citizenship and international tourism.
