Panama, June 5, 2026. - The Ministry of Culture of Panama officialized the incorporation of the country into the Programme of Cooperation with Ibero-American Cultural Routes and Itineraries (PRICI) by signing the Act of Declaration of Accession.

The event was held at the first meeting of this technical body, held at the historic place La Rábida, in Huelva, Spain. The representation of the Panamanian state was by architect Javier Adolfo Edwards Ibarra, who was commissioned for the validation of the program's operational documents.

That meeting responded to the agreements established at the XXII Ibero-American Conference of Ministers and Ministers of Culture, held earlier in Barcelona, where the Organization of Ibero-American States (OEI) was entrusted with the articulation of this area of technical cooperation.

) The integration of Panama into the PRICI empowers the participation of the country in the design of a joint model of planning and management of historic corridors. It also links the institution at the technical phases of development, recognition and subsequent international certification of the routes of heritage value in the Ibero-American geographical area.
