Panama, May 15, 2026. - The Alada Foundation, the Alas and Antenas Foundation and the Regional Directorate of Chame and San Carlos have been performing the logistics of an educational meeting that brought together 139 students from five schools with the aim of promoting the protection of local biodiversity. The day was supported with technical equipment and furniture provided by the organizers to facilitate the development of the various educational and cultural interventions with participation of students from different academic levels.

) The representation of the Rafael Maduro Educational Center, specifically from the Kinder A, B, C and D groups, included a piece of prayer entitled "What if the birds go missing?," performed by the student Kelvin Galeano Guadamuz, as well as the presentation of the educational resource the travel bag with the tale La Paisanita Tita.

For their part, first to sixth graders at the Punta Chame Educational Center put out the project "Cuentos de niños para niños" with the work "El Gorrio Criticón" and put together a puzzle with an arm focused on the endemic birds of his area.

The visual and artistic registration of regional fauna was a central component of the event. The Mata Afogado Educational Center projected an audiovisual material about the endemic birds of its community, while the Rodeo Viejo Educational Center presented a video and a painting where species have been identified and have been preserved in San Carlos, such as the white tail, the armadillo and the lazy.

Harmodio Arias Madrid was also a member of the student delegation that integrated these knowledge-sharing dynamics.

) The scientific training was complemented with specialized information stations. At the module of the Universidad Tecnologia de Panama, the geologist Rita Rodriguez with Guillermina Calderon and Irina, guides of tourism from El Valle, instructed assistants about the geology of the Geopark. At the same time, the personnel of the Gordas Memorial Institute coordinated a space for learning about insects, bees and birds, detailing the biological functions and benefits that these organisms bring to the balance of the environment.
