Panama's May 14, 2026. With a great assistance from the colonist community, the Colón Center of Art and Culture (CACCO) at the Ministry of Culture of Panama conducted a film that emphasized the importance of national cinema as a means of expression and cultural tool.

The activity had been shown with the film "Tropical Paradise" and with the participation of filmmaker Abner Benaim as part of the official itinerary of the Central American Festival counts 2026.

That event allowed the province of Colón to be at the stage of a direct dialogue between one of the leading film references in the country and a public that responded with enthusiasm to the artistic proposal.

The work achieved an immediate connection with the assistants with a narrative that deepens human emotions and allows for multiple interpretations, opening up a collective analysis after the function.

At the end of his projection, Benaim shared with these details his creative process, his message and his relevance of production of stories that reflect his Panamanian identity.

During his talk, his director emphasized that strengthening cultural spaces in the provinces was vital to the development of new public and motivated young people present to explore artistic creation as a way of contributing to the memory of the country.

"For his part, the director of the CACCO, Abel Aronátegui, described the day as a fundamental meeting for thought and arts in the region.

Aronátegui noted that receiving figures from Abner Benaim's trajectory represents an experience with great benefits for the community, showing that Colón has the necessary talent and interest to host events of international reach.

He also noted that the Centre will continue with its open doors to offer activities that have a positive impact on the cultural training of citizens.
