Panama April 8, 2026. The Foundation for Academic and Audiovisual Arts plans to conduct from April 16 to 20 the fifteenth edition of the International Festival of Academic Arts (FAE Panama 2026), the most important meeting of the theater and contemporary dance of our environment, that aims to bring back to our country a selection of best companies and specialists in the world, as we have reached its 22 years of creation.

The FAE Panama began as a biennial in 2004, to become an annual event in 2019, and in this period of time more than two decades, as well as to become important high level artistic display, has created and developed free social segments such as The FAE arrives at the schools of the neighborhood, leading performing works to children from public primary schools in popular areas, the FAE Training Laboratory, which offers performing students and artists training activities dictated by recognized national and international teachers, and The FAE outdoors, that presents performing art at Old Town squares for all.

Seven countries will display their shows and their specialists' knowledge at this great performing party, including Argentina, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba, Spain, France and Panama, for a total of 9 shows from 9 groups, as well as 8 training activities, among master classes, concurrently and workshops, to be presented in 10 rooms and spaces of the city.

The festival will have up to three sets of performances, at 7: 30 p.m., 9: 00 p.m. and 10: 00 p.m., with an aim to enhance the public's planning and opportunity to appreciate them as these step-by-step functions have been organized to allow them to go from one to another in a short time and to have a full evening at theater.

It will open this FAE Panama, Thursday 16th at 7: 30 p.m. at the National Theater, with one of the most renowned contemporary dancers of Spain, Sol Picó, who with his company will offer us Fairy Plumas, that pays tribute to the women who have historically inhabited and sustained the scene, through the character of a vedett of Barcelona's mythical cabarets, who fight for their space in that competitive environment.

On Friday 17 two functions, at 7: 30 p.m. at the Beby Torrijos Theater in Ciudad de las Artes, Cuba returned to the FAE after many years, with Favez, from group km 0, inspired by the true history of EnRiqueta Favez, first woman to practise medicine in Cuba in the 19th century, an age that denied them access to knowledge and autonomy, and at 9: 00 p.m., co-production between Costa Rica and Panama, The Trazes of memory, assembly of Central America Teatral in the absence, and in an absence of them have been found to gain their lives and have been lost and have been found to have been lost and have been lost with their families and have been killed.

The FAE Training Laboratory will offer free of charge, at the Teatro Section, the workshops at Dramaturgia, by Argentina's director Emiliano Dionisi and Clown by the Corporación Legados, Colombia and Teatral Critics by Cuba's specialist, Vivian Martínez, all at the GECU of the University of Panama. And in dance training are scheduled the Master Class with the Spanish choreographer, Sol Picó and Flying Low Workshop by the choreographer of Panama, omaris Mariñas, at Stephan Academy.

The main social segment of the festival, El FAE arrives at the schools of the neighborhood, to present in the mornings the work of Colombia, La Essencia de la Vida, a show that aims to sensitiarize the children's population about the importance of care for our planet, at four primary schools: Justo Arosemena de Santa Ana, Pedro J. Sossa de Calidonia, Manuel José Hurtado de El Chorrillo and Hogar de la Infantil de San Felipe, at no cost.

That great artistic meeting will also be held at 3: 00 p.m. at the La Apple Cultural Center in Santa Ana with a more diverse and more diverse audience through the segment El FAE al Aire Libre, on Sunday 19, starting with a short show as an abremouth at 3: 00 p.m. at the La Apple Cultural Center in Santa Ana with a children's theater and contemporary dance, and then going out at an artistic and musical parade through the surrounding streets to Plaza V. The FAE 26 will travel to close this 15th edition, extending its reach outside the capital to also add to the Colón Cultural Center within the segment, The FAE arrives at the schools of the neighborhood, currently functioning for the schools Porfirio Melendez, Republic of Bolivia, Santa Teresita and eban Ezer, for the first time in the history of the festival.
