Panama 24 January 2026. Panama will host the "Cultural Reunion, the Colors of the Greater Caribbean" on January 30, 2026, a high-level regional space designed to place culture as a strategic axis of sustainable development, regional integration and social cohesion of the nations of the Greater Caribbean, consistent with international consensus established at the UNESCO World Conference on Cultural Policies (MONDIACULT 2025).

Encouraged by the Ministry of Culture of Panama, the meeting is designed as a mechanism for cultural articulation that promotes a structured and sustained agenda, recognizing culture as a public good, human right and an engine of development, principles reaffirmed at MONDIACULT and aligned with the 2030 Agenda and will bring together ministers, ministers and cultural authorities from Caribbean countries and regional and international strategic actors.

The meeting will be held around two main themes: culture as an engine for sustainable development, innovation and the creative economy and Afro-descendant cultural heritage as a basis for identity, historic memory and strengthening of the social fabric of the Greater Caribbean and its diaspora.

The event aims to strengthen regional and interregional cultural cooperation, promote evidence-based public cultural policies and move towards more inclusive, participatory and resilient governance models.

The expected results include the definition of a regional Roadmap, an impetus to cultural cooperation networks and an increased visibility of Afro-descendant cultural heritage and its contribution to sustainable development.

The agenda will include spaces for political and technical dialogue, cultural activities, artisan fair, artistic performances and an open concert to the public, reaffirming Panama's commitment to a vision of culture that articulate international identity, development and cooperation.
