Panama, January 25, 2026. - History and identity, that's what passed "Piedra City" to the Penonomeños, who appreciated, with a clear light, the staging of this historic cut musical. The work, presented at the Parque de los Mens Ilustres, of the town of Penonomé, forms part of the project "Vibra Panama 2026" of the Ministry of Culture.

At the opening of the event, the National Director of the arts of the Ministry of Culture, Gianni Bianchini, said that with this type of event the vision of Minister María Eugenia Herrera to democratize culture became reality, leading her to every corner of the country. "We have to support art and culture," concluded Bianchini.

The City of Piedra () is an important historic musical with an immersive and emotional analysis of the main events that marked Panama's history, combining theater, music, dance, stage and technology with an educational and accessible approach for all ages.

Using the nights of dry age, the event was set up outdoors, giving local people an opportunity to celebrate Panamanian history, identity and culture. The experience included an intersectional fence with merchandise, gastronomic offer and different cultural activations.

The Penonomé feature will start with a tour that will continue in the town of Las Tablas as part of the Vibra Panama project that decentralizes the cultural offer and free access to quality shows.

Under this initiative, the Ministry of Culture reaffirms its mission to promote projects that contribute to cultural development, education and social cohesion, especially among children, youth and families from within the country.
