Open call for Intensive Workshop of Cinematographic Script

Panama, November 14, 2025. - The National Cinema Management of the Ministry of Culture (MiCultura) announces the opening of the "Intensive Workshop of Script: Introduction to Cinema Writing." It will be 10 sessions that will be held virtual from November 17 to November 29 and each will have a duration of 2 and a half hours, for a total of 25 hours.
The workshop will be taught by Rodrigo Quintero Arauz and two groups are available:
Diurno: 9: 30 a.m. - 12: 00 m.d.
Night: 7: 00 p.m. - 9: 30 p.m.
Following these sessions, the student will have found the power to tell stories for the big screen and will be able to transform ideas into stories that connect and transcend. From the initial spark to the creation of an intended script, they will learn to give life to worlds and characters that reflect your unique vision.

About Rodrigo Quintero Arauz
He was a Panamanian filmmaker, born in the province of Chiriquí, and graduated from Ficción Cinema Management at the International School of Cinema and TV of San Antonio de los Baños, Cuba in 2017. He was published from Panama International Film Diplomat in 2014 and from Ficción and Documentaria Diplomat the Universidad especializado de Las Américas, 2015.
Selected as part of the Director's Lab of the Talens Guadalajara 2021.
He currently holds his post production as director of "Me Dan el Panzer," a winner of the co-production fund of the Ibermean program 2018 and of the Panama's Long film production fund in 2019.
His last script: "A Star about Volcano" was a winner of the Panama Development Fund in 2020. He has been performing other functions as part of his Panamanian film performance as: Supervisor Script at José Stout's "St. Vierja Academy" and Daniel Poler's "Espina."
Field and Research Producer at Chiriquí for "The Teeth of Saturne" by Miguel I. González. First production assistant at Kattia González's "Las Hijas" and second management assistant at "Panama Al Brown" by Ricardo Aguilar and Manolito Rodriguez.
