Panama, November 12, 2025. - Analyzing, revising and propose, under the specialized vision of the arts, the process of transferring 23 educational establishments from Fine Arts and Folklore to the Ministry of Culture (MiCultura), is the goal of the 3-day day that the National Directorate of Art Education today initiated, with the participation of the directors of schools, educational centers, art teachers, specialists and personnel from the Ministries of Culture and Education.

The day was opened by the General Secretary, Ivis Moreno, who emphasized that this meeting strengthens artistic education, dignifies his curriculum and ensures his participation, inclusion and high level. "I fully trust that this day will inspire us, strengthen us and allow us to lay the foundations of a future where art and education walk together," Moreno concluded.

Act No. 455 of November 15, 2024 formalizes the transfer of the 23 educational centers of Fine Arts and Folklore at national level from the Ministry of Education to the Ministry of Culture and remains under the National Directorate of Artistic Education, run by Aristides Burgos.

During these three days, a participatory and collaborative review will be undertaken with the assistance of personnel specialized in the teaching of the arts, the path to continue to cover the legal framework, the transfer of teaching and administrative personnel, the curriculum and all necessary aspects for an effective transition.

Additional, a space for permanent meetings and an exchange and dissemination of experience between the arts and teaching processes have been established and proposals have been put forward at all levels that have been transformed with a view to addressing the issues of Fine Arts.

That work will be performed through work tables and special activities that will end with the definition of processes and guidelines to conduct an orderly and successful succession.
