Panama, August 5, 2025. - The Ministry of Culture, as an official sponsor, announced its support for the ninth version of the Parada de las Flores and the Café, one of the most representative celebrations of the province of Chiriquí.

The fair activity will be held from September 12 to 16 at Lands Alta with events scheduled in Volcano and New California, with cultural and folklore expressions from across the country as well as from residents and foreigners in Chiriquí.

The press conference was attended by Gregorio González, regional director of the Ministry of Culture in Chiriquí, Vicky López, president of the Fundación Parada de las Flores and el Café and Alexander Chavarría, mayor of Lands Alta.

"From September 12 to 16, Lands Alta, Volcano and New California will get the ninth version of the event. The 16th will be the central parade at the Bilingual Elementary School of Volcano, with folk presentations from across the country and from foreigners living in Panama, varied cuisine and a different parade. It's a family event that promotes the local economy," said Vicky López, who also emphasized that this issue will turn Highlands back into a stage for local culture and economy.

Mayor Alexander Chavarría emphasized the relevance of Parada de las Flores and Café as an engine of tourism and community pride and invited residents and visitors to enjoy all scheduled activities.

For his part, Gregorio González emphasized that "We are supporting with machinery, equipment and co-ordination so that the Parada de las Flores and Café will be an event full of cultural diversity, with artisans, plastic artists and singers. We want this activity to highlight our culture, join and identify us."

The Ministry of Culture invites citizens to participate and enjoy this traditional celebration that combines flowers, coffee, music, dance and gastronomy and as a space for family meeting and for the cultural heritage of Lands Altas and throughout Panama.
