Panama City, August 21, 2025. - The Casco Antiguo becomes a stage of memory and cultural celebration with the opening of the exhibition "The Panamanian Theater: His Protagonists, Viva History," an independent project led by theater and television actress Dania Clarissa Núñez Arancibia, who aims to pay tribute to the figures that marked the stage in Panama between the 1940s and 1990s.

The show will be open to the public from 21 August to 12 September 2025 at the Juan Manuel Cedeño Gallery, located at Las Bóvedas, Plaza de France, from Monday to Friday from 8: 00 a.m. to 4: 00 p.m.

At the opening ceremony, recognition was given to iconic figures from the national theater such as Zelideth Rosales (1950), Eugenio Fernández, Edwin Cedeño (1970), Ubaldo Rodriguez Alonso, Alberto Caraballo, Grimaldo Díaz, Javier Ballesteros, Masha Armuelles, Isabel Cabrera and Carmen Llorenzo, among other leading actors. A posthumous tribute was also paid to the remembered actor Javier "Yeti" Sarsanedas (Q.E.P.D.), a beastly figure of the Panamanian tables.

"That project is an act of gratitude to those who built with care and talent the theatrical memory of the country. They are the living root of our performing art and they deserve to be recognized and remembered with dignity," emphasized Dania Clarissa Núñez Arantibia, creator of the initiative.

The exhibition "The Panamanian Theater: His Protagonists, Viva History" is not only a tribute but also a bridge for new generations to know and appreciate the cultural wealth that the theater represents in Panamanian identity.
