Panama City, August 18. - The U.S. Ambassador to Panama, Kevin Marino Cabrera, undertook a courtesy visit to the City of the Arts to hold a meeting with the Minister of Culture, María Eugenia Herrera, with the aim of strengthening collaboration in different cultural and educational areas.

During the meeting, both delegations established intentions for future projects, including collaboration with museums, restoration and training in Museography, and cooperation with a Memorandum of Understanding on illicit property trafficking.

Also, we discussed technical support for theatres and the National Symphony Orchestra as well as the expansion of academic exchanges and Fulbright scholarships for Panamanian students.

Following the meeting, Ambassador Cabrera and Minister Herrera had a tour of the town of the arts and had an opportunity to witness the talent of students from the special program of the National Network of Orquestas and Coros.

They also visited the Carmen Cedeño Auditorium, where they enjoyed a musical presentation by artists Colaquito Cortez and Sergio Cortez accompanied by an underrun.

The tour continued at the Roque Cordero Auditorium with a sample of contemporary dance and ended at the Beby Torrijos Multifunctional Auditorium and the Art Gallery.

The meeting was attended by the U.S. Embassy: Salman Haji, Cultural Attaché, Malore Brown, Regional Attaché from American Spaces Programs, Lorena Meneses and Ramón Real from Cultural Section.

That visit underscored the shared commitment between Panama and the United States to promote culture, education and the protection of heritage, thereby strengthening the links of friendship and cooperation between both nations.
