The Ministry of Culture (MiCultura) celebrated with great success the 352 years of the Panama City Shuttle, organizing a chronological tour through the main squares of the Casco Antiguo.

The activity, open to the public, was headed by Casco Antiguo's office (OCA) at MiCultura and had a special street theater presentation based on the musical City of Piedra with the participation of more than 15 talented artists.

The tour began at Plaza Herrera, where performances were shown that highlighted key moments of national history, such as the move of the city, the independence of Panama from Spain, the union to Gran Colombia, the separation of Colombia and the construction of the Panama Canal.

The event culminated at the Plaza de la Independencia with lively artistic and cultural performances that captivated the attendees.

That tour did not only educate and entertain but also allowed locals and tourists to have a unique experience with the country's history.

Amber Zambrano, director of the office of the Casco Antiguo, extended a warm invitation for both Panamanian and foreign people to continue to enjoy these spaces designed by MiCultura. "It's an opportunity to learn, enjoy and connect with our story," she said.

The Deputy Minister of Culture, Arianne Benedetti, was an active participant in the tour, accompanying the attendees and emphasizing the importance of these cultural initiatives.

That event sets a precedent as the first activity of this kind undertaken to commemorate the relocation of Panama's town and strengthens the commitment of the Ministry of Culture to the preservation and promotion of historic heritage.
