The Ministry of Culture, through the Panama Network of Orchestra and Youth Cores, the National Symphony Orchestra and the National Dance Company, has prepared a special schedule for December with concerts, recitals, lights of Christmas trees and ballet performances in different provinces of the country, such as Panama, Chiriquí, Coclé, Colón and Herrera.
The Christmas season began on December 2nd with the Christmas Tree light at the City of the Arts, an event filled with a festive and cultural spirit. During this day, the attendees were able to enjoy artistic performances, an artisan commercial, live music, Christmas workshops, photo sessions with Santa, an interactive LEGO station, storyteller and stage performances starring students from arts and music schools.
Free concerts with the National Symphony Orchestra
The National Symphony Orchestra will offer concerts at different points, such as MetroBank de Calle 50, the Higher Specialist Technical Institute (ITSE), the Balboa Theater, the Colón Center of Art and Culture, churches, parks and commercial centers. They will be free and prepared for the whole family.
"Magic Christmas" with the Youth Orchestra and Chorus Network
The Panama Youth Orchestra and Chorus Network will be presenting its season "Magic Christmas," including concerts, closing recitals and lights lights in different provinces, with the participation of children, youth and adults who make up all four programs of musical teaching as they are: musical initiation, special education, coral and orchestral.
The Nutcracker returns to the National Theater
As part of the Christmas tradition, Panama's National Ballet will stage his Christmas classic, "El Cascanueces," with a cast of about 100 dancers, including 30 professionals and youth selected by auditions at the National Theater.
The functions will be performed from 4 to 8 December with presentations at 7: 30 p.m. and a special feature on Sunday 8 at 4: 00 p.m.
