Symphony Orchestra Highlights National Author Roque Cordero for New Anniversary

With works by Panamanian composer Roque Cordero, the National Symphony Orchestra (OSN) of the Ministry of Culture (MiCultura) commemorates this May 30 at the Balboa Theater, the beginning of this organization with the occasion of its 83 years of creation.
The concert that will start at 8: 00 at night and that will be open to the public, will behold within his repertoire the Obertura Solemne 1812, op.49 and Symphony N ° 5, at my minor, op.64 by Piotr Ilich Chaikovski, under the direction of Jorge Ledezma Bradley, director of this octagenaria musical grouping.
To Bradley, who this year holds three decades under his command, "to have been serving music with the OSN for so long is a privilege, considering that this institution represents the main structure around which music schools are formed, because the orchestra is a kind of matrix that nourishes opportunities and knowledge to the community."
"A stay so long as an orchestra's command is far too rare but it's a privilege, because it allows an orchestra to acquire a personal spirit. The orchestra grows with the director as the orchestra grows in quality and depth, so does the director," added Ledezma Bradley.
Meanwhile, Diego Burgos, who has been a member of the OSN as an english cornist for five years, said that "for those professionals who are emerging as a member of a national orchestra and representing a country, it's of the most significant sensations that can be had" and his wish to bring this organization's music to the rest of the country.
Burgos expressed that "I wish we could get to every sector and cultivate the rest of the people. Don't forget that OSN's concerts are completely free and that schools, mainly, can be more outstanding for the different activities we conduct every year."
The National Symphony Orchestra will have an occasion to be founded on May 27, 83, during which time directors and musicians have been offering their musical talent to nationals and foreigners with concert seasons that offer a variety of repertory with remarkable performances.
