At the José María Barranco de La Chorrera school, the Ministry of Culture (MiCultura) in partnership with the Ministry of Education (Meduca) began his laboratory for creative thought: "I write, then exist," run by the reader Carlos Fong, an activity that will be undertaken during 2024, at different secondary schools of the country.

The activity consists of meeting once a week at a philosophy workshop for young students from the reading of stories and a pilot plan at secondary schools such as José María Barranco and Guillermo Endara Galimani.

Carlos Fong, promoter of this initiative referred to "that with this project what we are looking for is to create a space to discuss with young students about things of life, using tales as a provocation to discuss and write about specific issues."

"Young people's thought and voices are important at these times and with literature we learn how to read the world and knit ideas that will help us understand reality," Fong added.
