< strong > MiCultura promotes good practices for water use and conservation < / strong >

"You will be wondering what the Ministry of Culture has to do with World Food Day. The answer is simple, Culture is everything, it's our way of living throughout the meaning of the word, our way of cooking, our recipes, our personal habits," expressed Cultural Minister Giselle González Villarrué during the "Health Day" that developed on Sunday, October 1, as part of World Food Day.

The event was developed by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), which brought together numerous families at the Convention Centre of the City of Knowledge and focused on highlighting the water element as a water resource that should be preserved under the motto "Water is life, nourish, let's leave nobody behind."

The Minister of Culture emphasized that "it's our responsibility to have an impact on promoting an integral health culture where water becomes a material heritage of this country, drenched by two oceans and with 500 rivers throughout our isthmus."

"It's up to us to sensitise our citizens about the importance of acquiring good practice for their lives, with the use of water that involves a substantive challenge, focused on two directions: their conservation and their proper consumption. That challenges us to protecting their channels, cleanliness of waters and awareness of their care," the head of the Cultural portfolio reiterated.

It should be noted that the Ministry of Culture (MiCultura) joined with inter-agency efforts to raise awareness about how vital this resource remains as part of the work undertaken by the National Government with the CONAGUA Strategic Plan 202020-2024, where through art, MiCultura promotes the conservation and protection of the most precious natural resource that guarantees the preservation of humanity.
