To increase the participation of persons with disabilities in cultural activities and events, the Ministry of Culture (MiCultura) through the Office of Equal Opportunities program guided tours with this segment of the population.
On this occasion, the guided tour was held at the Afro-Antillano Museum at the Calidonia Reg. Visitors, children and their parents were able to share with members of the Valóate Foundation, a non-profit organization that seeks to transform children's lives with ADHD.
The visits are intended to promote practices aimed at their comprehensive development and to fully realize their right to education.
Miriam De María, a guide at the Afro-Antillane Museum, had the responsibility to explain the history and contents of the pieces that have been found in this museum, gave visitors information about the history of Afro-Antillana ethnicity in Panama.
The visit included a coloring workshop with children with an intention to get to know their vision after their explanations.
