The Minister of Culture, Giselle González Villarrué, gave his first copies of the work "Comarca de los manitos: tieses de la tierra, tradesas y tipuras" to families of late writer Rodrigo Núñez Quintero, an action that forms part of the commitments of the National Commission of the Bicentennial of Panama's Independence of Spain, in partnership with the National Assembly and the National Bank of Panama.

The work, republished for the third time, is a collection of several stories and legends of the people of ocu and Panama, that through 11 stories describe the identity of the region, its traditions and its old customs.

González Villarrué emphasized that MiCultura concrete a commitment to contribute to the promotion and dissemination of these copies to "provoke through collective reading, reflection of these stories, as through this work there is a part of our identity, contributing to literature and leaving a legacy so that future generations will continue to read and re-find their panamenity."

For his part, Roberto Sousa, Assistant General Manager of the National Bank, noted that "we will continue to contribute through the printing of books to leave a legacy that goes beyond generation to generation, so we pledge ourselves to continue to safeguard and promote culture in all respects."

MiCultura through the Cultural Rights and Citizenship leadership gave more than a hundred copies to his families to have a record and leave a legacy of the identity and history of the people of Ocu, Herrera Province.
