Entrepreneurs choose seed capital

As part of the national government's inclusion actions, the Ministry of Culture, together with the Authority of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise (Ampyme), began with training for 15 persons with disabilities who choose a seed capital of up to 2,000 pits (B /. 2,000) so that they can conduct their entrepreneurial activities.

The training had a duration of 40 hour with face, face and face care and will be supported by the National Office of Equal Opportunities at MiCultura and the National Disability Secretariat (Senadis).

The counselling involved people with hearing, visual, physical and mental disabilities with jobs such as crafts, beauty, commerce, service, clothing sales and consumer products.

Among the issues covered were, registration of their undertaking, the services and products they offer, mission, vision, how to manage their businesses, financial and the formalization of their business.

Arnulfo González, Director of Services and Business Development at AMSMEs mentioned "we are here in an agreement with MiCultura to answer these entrepreneurs who chose seed capital to try to get these Panamanians that push to get ahead with their businesses.

That activity forms part of a monitoring of those chosen, to participate in the program after a call and induction, of the financial and non-financial programs that Ampyme has.

The Seed Capital Programme for persons with disabilities established by Act 217 of 27 May 2021 will provide seed capital resources up to $2,000 non-reimbursable to fund business plans and small businesses and to support employment development in this sector of the population.
