"Sababea Panama," a cultural tour

In the framework of the Bicentennial of Panama's Independence of Spain, the Panamanian Association of Hotels (APATEL) will conduct from 4 to 31 October, the "Sababea Panama" initiative, which consists of a gastronomic and cultural tour that will connect the flavors and essence of the dishes of the original provinces and peoples.

This gastronomic caravan supported by the Ministry of Culture (MiCultura) through the Creative Economics Section aims to recover recipes from Panamanian gastronomy, highlight its benefits and be designed as a strategy to contribute to economic recovery.

At "Saborea Panama" there will be 16 hotel restaurants that will offer visitors every week the gastronomy of the regions of the country. For the first week, that will extend from Monday 4 to Sunday 10 October, the diners of the participating hotels will have an opportunity to have dinner from the province of Bocas del Toro and that of the native peoples.
