MiCultura signed an agreement with the Albinos community

A Cultural Cooperation Convention with the aim of developing programs, projects as a whole and other specific activities for the artistic, educational, cultural and social development of persons with apbinism was agreed between the Ministry of Culture (MiCultura) and the Society S.O.S Albinos.

He responded to the deputy ministers of MiCultura, Gabriel González, and Akeban Velarde Chiari, president and legal representative of the S.O.S Albinos Society, to print the approval in the presence of members of the Association, Congressman Petite Ayarza and Jorge Morales, Director of Equal Opportunities at MiCultura.

He argued that MiCultura, among its many aims, promotes and guarantees cultural rights on an equal footing and based on this principle, is committed to promoting programs and projects for the artistic, educational, cultural and social development of people with albinism through this convention.
According to the deputy minister, the convention benefits both parties, as this way MiCultura and SOS of Albinos strengthen their partnership links by enabling them to effectively use their resources and the necessary collaboration to achieve national gain and human development targets with apbinism.

A number of initiatives will be put into place through the convention, such as the monthly virtual cultural magazine "Beyond his skin," with scientific and cultural material and interviews and reports with an emphasis on the participation of Albines in different facets within the community.

Also included are the Harmodio Vivar Counting and Poesy contest, the "Mother Earth" Painting contest, the Campaign of Sensitization for people with albinism and the presentation of the second edition of the book "The Sons of the Moon, in honor of Marden Paniza for his musical contribution, among other activities put forward.

The "SOS Albinos Society," which was founded on November 2, 1999, aims to sensitiarize the public at large about the affections suffered by people with this genetic condition, characterized by an absence of skin pigmentation, to seek support with other public and private entities and to make connections with other groups of albinos throughout the world.

The convention also includes organizing with MiCultura, training with regard to educational care, social inclusion and the promotion of cultural training for people with apbinism.
