The Ministry of Culture (MiCultura) announces that until 4 August the registration period to participate in the seventh version of the 2021 Theater Festival will put artists, groups, civil, cultural and state organisations.

The contest that takes place through the National Section of The Arts will reward the best jobs in presenting "face and face performances," "facilitators" and "dramatized readings."

The projects will be evaluated by a court composed of a specialist at the National School of Theater at MiCultura, and one at the School of Theater at the University of Panama's School of Fine Arts and an independent director, creator, interpreter or theater producer.

The selected jobs will be announced on August 6 and winners will get an economic recognition as established by the contest's bases. MiCultura will provide theatres free of charge for the production of the works and all of the box office sales will be for the winning work.

The theater season will be from September 13th to October 1st at the Anita Villalaz theatres, La Huaca, at the ATLAPA Convention Center and other spaces that will be announced soon.
