They give national pavilion to delegation that will go to "Folkloriada Mundial"

On behalf of the President of the Republic, Laurentino Cortizo Cohen, the Minister of Culture (MiCultura), Carlos Aguilar Navarro gave his Panamanian flag to Professor José Corella Rovira, director of the folklore cast composed of 31 young people who will participate in the "Sixth World Folkloriada" to be held in the Russian Federation.
It's an international event that brings together 1500 artists with the folkloric expressions from 50 countries and that organizes the International Council of Folkloran Festivals and Traditional Arts Organizations (OFAT) and will be from 3 to 10 July next.
That body, OFAT was founded in 1970 and since 2012 has been an accredited partner of the UNESCO in the protection of the intangible cultural heritage and today with more than 300 international festivals of popular art worldwide.
The incumbent of MiCultura, Aguilar Navarro, held that Panama will have "a high-end delegation that through dance, singing, clothing and music will represent us with the garbo that characterizes our folkloric traditions, sharing stage with artists from all over the area."
Professor Corella, who president of his name's Academy of Folkloric Projections, expressed his gratitude for his support and honor and undertook to represent Panama with pride at this global folkloric event.
