Panama, August 2, 2026. - On a day dedicated to the rescue, preservation and pride of our traditions, the Ministry of Culture held the National Indumentaria and its Artisanal Polleras Techniques. As Lady of the pollera 2026 became winner Karla Leguisamo, who also competed in the category "pollera white without Labor."

The Lady of the pollera is chosen from among all contestants at the contest of the National Indumentaria, which is composed of 5 categories and held as part of the National Crafts Fair every year.

Following a thorough assessment of the manufacture, authenticity and garb of the dressings put up as a catwalk, the Jury awarded the following contestants as winners of first place by category:

During the contest, a contest was also announced to the winner of the Highlights, a contest that was held by vote through social networks of the Ministry of Culture. José Alberto Barba of the province of Herrera became the winner.

The event was attended by institutional authorities, headed by María Eugenia Herrera, Minister of Culture, Ivis Moreno, Secretary General and Alhis Díaz, National Director of Crafts.
