Panama, May 8, 2026. With a night marked by the musical excellence and talent of young interpreters, the Ministry of Culture officially opened the sixth edition of the Club of Conference Groups in the City of the Arts, with an international trumpist Gerald "Chipi" Chacón and Panama's outstanding Trompets Replay.

The evening began with a presentation by C3 Project, a group dedicated to welcoming attendees and preparing the stage for a dedicated day to the repertoire and national talent.

The official opening of the concert was held by the Panama Trompets Reensemble, composed of young Panamanian musicians who have shown high technical accuracy and performing force in iconic metal works.

The group captivated the public with performances by Paul Dukas's La Peri Fanfare, Jettias para Trompas de Vassily Brandt, Canzo Septimi Toni de Giovanni Gabrieli, Sonoran Desert Harmonies by Eric Ewazen and Intrada Drammatica by John Price.

The second part of the program added an international guest "Chipi" Chacón, who shared stage with the ensemble in a presentation that merged classical, contemporary and popular music. Together with the artist they performed pieces as Adagio in G Minor of Tomaso Albinoni, the second movement of Piotr Ilich Tchaikovsky's Symphony No. 5, Air on the G String by Johann Sebastian Bach and the iconic hymn to the Realegia of Ludwig van Beethoven, especially adapted works for trumpets.

Chacón's participation brought about one of the most memorable moments of the night with its artistic versatility and its ability to connect with the public, with a natural passage between academic language and sounds closest to popular music and bolero.

During the event, the deputy ministers of culture, Arianne Benedetti, thanked the artists for their surrender and emphasized the importance of promoting spaces that strengthen the formation, circulation and appreciation of camera music in Panama. Also, she gave certificates of recognition to Chipi Chacón and the Panama Trompets Reprehensible for their valuable contribution to the festival.

For his part, Chipi Chacón stated: "All countries need culture to strengthen themselves and continue to support these initiatives that celebrate music in all its expressions."

The sixth edition of the Club of House Groups will have the participation of eight national groupings with proposals ranging from traditional repertories to contemporary currents. They include Echo, Quiuba-Inti, Golden Quartet, Laji Saxophone Quartit, Elieser Izquierdo Project, Hands Song and Cantabile Quintit.

As part of its commitment to cultural decentralization, the festival will extend its presentations to scenarios such as Las Tablas, Boquete, the National Library, North Park, ITSE at Tocumen and El Valle de Antón, bringing camera music closer to different communities throughout the country.

Gerald "Chipi" Chacón is a well known Venezuelan trumpeter, educator and arranger, internationally outstanding for fusing classical music, jazz and Latino rhythms. His trajectory includes nominations to Latin Grammy and presentations at important scenarios around the world.
