Panama City, April 30, 2026. Panama said at the International Book Fair of Bogotá with an outstanding participation that confirms the growth and projection of its literature at an international level as part of the cultural agenda advanced by the Ministry of Culture, in co-ordination with the Panama Embassy in Colombia and the Panamanian Book House.
The Panamanian delegation includes well-known authors such as Osvaldo Reyes, Diana Vega, Eduardo Verdumen, Mónica Miguel Franco, Edilberto González Trejos, Alondra Badano, Edgardo Bracho, Priscilla Gómez, Niki Walsh, Fifita Bichili, Paola Meneses, Cheri Lewis and Mayra De Gracia, who represented the diversity and wealth of national letters.
Part of his activities was the "Panamesas Reunion," a space that advanced the dialogue between authors, academics and the public, and highlighted the new voices, trends and inputs of the country's contemporary literature.
The participation included the donation of 25 copies of institutional publications - including works leading to literary competitions - that will become part of the collection of the library of the Panamanian embassy in Colombia, thus strengthening the dissemination of national literary heritage.
The fair, which takes place from April 21 to May 4 in Bogotá, is and is one of the most important editorials in the region, providing a key platform for projecting Panamanian talent and strengthening international cultural links.
