Panama April 27, 2026. Panamanian musical director and artist Electra Castillo, who runs the Network of Children and Youth Corks and Orquestas of Panama, was elected president for 3 years of the Ibero-orchestras Juveniles Programme at the 3XIV Intergovernmental Council held in Porto, Portugal.

That important meeting brought together, from 22 to 24 April, the highest decision-making body of the Programme, where strategic issues for its functioning and future vision were addressed and a shift of Chair as one of the main agreements adopted.

The Iberoricestas Juveniles, acts as an articulate among countries that conduct projects of community and professional musical education.

The exchange of experiences in the processes of musical training becomes a useful tool for the institutions that coordinate musical work in Iberoamerica, guaranteeing cultural cooperation and the artistic development of new generations.
