Panama, April 20, 2026. The Independence Plaza, at Casco Antiguo, was the stage of a successful Artesanal Mercadito that brought together national and foreign visitors about Panamanian talent and tradition.

The initiative, organized by the Ministry of Culture in conjunction with the office of Casco Antiguo, was with the participation of 16 artisan from Panama Center and Panama West, who have been offering for 3 days a varied sample of handmade products, highlighting the creativity and value of local traditions.

During the day, which was held from 10: 00 a.m. to 6: 00 p.m., the attendees enjoyed an extensive Panamanian gastronomic offer, including the delicacies prepared by the paila chefs from Sabores del Barrio as well as the traditional scrape, widely appreciated by the public.

The event also integrated an advanced cultural agenda with presentations of traditional dances of Guna and emberra cultures, as well as body painting experiences in Jagua, that awaken the interest of both great and good.

The Crafts Market was able to generate a meeting space between creators and public, promoting direct marketing and promoting the creative economy and the value of the cultural expressions of the country.
The next Crafts Market will be held from May 15th to 17th and will have the participation of entrepreneurs, thus expanding opportunities to continue to boost local talent.
