Panama 1 April 2026. Under the International Day of Autism Awareness, the Ann Sullivan Panama Center (CASpAN) adds to the global call advanced by the United Nations under the motto "Autism and Humanity: All Life has Value," and announced the conduct of the 5th Blue Culture Festival, an awareness and inclusion space to be held on April 11 at Omar Park.

The event is co-organized with the Office of the First Lady of the Republic, the Mayor's Office of Panama, Pantiades and the Ministry of Culture and will have the participation of several civil society organisations and state institutions.

As part of this commemoration, awareness-raising will also be undertaken in different provinces of the country, broadening the scope of the message of inclusion and promoting the participation of communities at the national level.

In this context, CASpan also announced the official opening of its new headquarters at Monagrillo, Chitre, next April 30 at 11: 00 a.m., leading to a significant increase in its care capacity for children and adolescents as well as their families in the provinces of Herrera and Los Santos.

The First Lady Maricel Cohen of Mulino expressed "with the Mayor of Panama, Pansetics, the Ministry of Culture and the Ann Sullivan Panama Center, we are adding efforts to make inclusion a natural part of sports in our country."

"That this month will continue to push us to create accessible spaces, train sensitised coaches and continue to build communities where they all have a place," she added.

For her part, Cultural Minister Maria Eugenia Herrera emphasized that "we shine together because all voices and all forms of feeling enrich life," culture is a vital tool for inclusion and recognition of diversity.

He noted that through art, music, dance and other cultural expressions, real spaces of participation and visualisation of people's talent are opened up within the autistic spectrum.
He emphasized that there was a strong and coordinated will to continue to build a more inclusive society, where every person was recognized as a human person with skills, talents and rights.

He called on families, communities and work spaces to become multiplier agents of inclusion and to promote respect, empathy and equal opportunities for all.
