Panama 11 February 2026. The Ministry of Culture officially launched the new and innovative digital application of MiCultura. MIC, Panama's new cultural and artistic agenda, was designed to strengthen the promotion, dissemination and participation of citizens and tourists in the national cultural and artistic life and thus to promote national economic development, democratization and decentralization of culture.
The presentation was headed by the deputy ministers of culture, Arianne Benedetti, accompanied by Ivis Moreno, Secretary General of the institution, and several national directors. The presentation had the presence of, ATP, Ampyme, the Mayor's Office of Panama, regional and local authorities, the media, artists, managers and cultural promoters, who first and foremost knew this technological tool that aims to connect the public with the national cultural offer.
The MiCultura (MIC) application offers an integral cultural and artistic agenda that allows us to discover, share and participate in an easy and secure manner with cultural events throughout the national territory. It also becomes a strategic tool for artists, producers and cultural promoters by facilitating the visibility of their activities and projects, giving them a robust national and international audience.
During her intervention, she emphasized that this initiative promotes citizen participation, strengthens the sense of belonging and cultural identity and strengthens an articulated cultural agenda that connects different creators, managers and public.
The platform has several categories, including: performing arts, cinema and audiovisual, music, contest, literature, heritage and folklore, gastronomy, exhibitions, fairs, festivals, training and convocation, among others. users can search events using category, date and location filters and facilitate access to cultural information.
