Panama, January 19, 2026. - Members of the Chief Executive Organization (CEO), a group of top corporate officials from different countries of the world, chose Panama for their annual meeting. Among their activities, that are simply about learning, was to get to know the different facets of our country, including culture, tourism, business area, international relations and how they have an impact on the new geopolitical equations of the world in Panama.

The Minister of Culture, María Eugenia Herrera, on behalf of the President of the Republic, José Raúl Mulino, welcomed them and explained to them why Panama is recognized for its geographical status, for the Canal, for the International Financial Centre and for the Free Zone of Colón but especially for its culture.

"Our nation is essentially pluricultural, with multiple cultures coexisting, interacting, respecting and recognizing its influence and the cultural wealth that nurtures them with each other. We are also" multi-ethnic, "where human beings with different backgrounds and stories co-exist peacefully," Minister Herrera told them.

He added that, from this whole legacy, characteristic of a territory that has been, by vocation, bridge of the world and forced passage, a "culture of chrysol" was born, a mosaic of customs, languages and cosmovisions, where cultural heritage is the invisible thread that unites us.

The Minister told them about how Isthma has been always a meeting place where indigenous, African, European and Asian inheritance converge and a demographic mix that has been shaping Panamanian DNA and expressed in language, music and gastronomy.

During the meeting, the visitors met with the pollera and its events and with their corporate experiences such as those of COPA and the Panama Canal. as part of their tour, they will visit the Biomuseus and the ruins of the old town, where they will know about our history.
