Panama, September 26, 2025. - The 75 years after the establishment of diplomatic relations between Panama and Turkey have been held at high level. A Panamanian delegation, headed by the Minister of Culture, Arianne Benedetti, was in Turkey with an exhibition of Panamanian culture and art.

To promote economic and commercial development, the Panama Embassy in Turkey, with the sponsorship of Turkish Airlines, brought to Turkey a little bit from Panama, represented with two artisan, a chef and two folklore dancers.

At the Museum of History and Art of Capadocia, known as the Mil Muñecas Museum, a permanent exhibition of dolls referred to Panamanian culture and traditions was opened. The exhibition presents the pollera Gala, Queen congo, the Santan Mount and devils, among other traditional performances of our country. That museum receives about 18 million visitors a year.

A gastronomic event was also held in the Capadocia mountains and with special guests who had been able to enjoy a Panamanian chicken rice made by chef Delyane Arjona.

Also, on the occasion of the anniversary, a reception was offered and attended by the diplomatic body accredited to Turkey, local authorities and special guests, an activity led by Panama's ambassador to Turkey, Karina Arias. A sample of our culture was offered at this event, such as dances, costumes, gastronomy and crafts.

The moment was good for the master's teacher, Gloria Hernandez, to show them about the production of the pint's hat.

In another activity, we visited the University of Ankara where we met with students from Spanish and Latin American history about Panamanian cinema. That event was accompanied with a sample of the Panamanian films: Justo's Cause, Awakened Momma, El Panzer and Gauguin and Canal.

On the other hand, meetings were held at the Ministry of Culture of Turkey, Istanbul Art Museum and addresses related to the film industry. These meetings lay the ground for cooperation agreements aimed at the development of the film industry, applying to international funds, cultural exchanges, using Panama as a place for films, training for the conduct of contemporary art and tuning the processes to participate in bienials.

With this exchange Panama creates international spaces for the development of its artists, strengthening its audiovisual industry and promoting the country as a film destination.
