Panama, October 12, 2025. - In a display of colors, traditions, music and folklore, the delegation of Panama stole all his looks and applause at the Hispanic Parade, with 21 countries participating, at the fifth Avenue of Manhattan, New York. First lady, Maricel de Mulino and the Minister of Culture, María Eugenia Herrera did the ribbon cut that began the celebration.

To achieve its goal, the Ministry of Culture of Panama gave an important support to the Mola Society of Panama, with 61 years already participating in the parade, for the production of its carrot, a design by Carlos Varga.

Ulpiano Vergara, a Panamanian symbol with MiCultura, paraded in a carrot that was brought from Maryland and suitable for the whole music grouping. Other artists who have been involved with the celebration with the ministry were the lady of Idania Dowman and the popular band The Beachers.

Our delegation was also composed of a group, organized by MiCultura, that was composed of the folkloric ensemble plus four additional folkloric groupings, diablicos's Colón and Reins of Upstairs and Highways of Tables.

Activities to celebrate the Hispanic Heritage Month began on Friday with recognition and county keys to Maricel Cohen de Mulino, first lady of the Republic and María Eugenia Herrera, Minister of Culture.

The mayor of Mineola, Paul Pereira, gave them the keys to the city and Senator Jack Martins from the Senate stated October 10 as Panama's Day at Long Island.

The whole festival, at which Panama once again had the opportunity to show its culture to the world, is organized every year by the several associations, trade unions and groups of the Panamanian community living in New York, who year after year do a display of creativity that shows love and attachment to its roots.
