Panama, September 26, 2025. The 2025 Theater Festival enters its final line and with it, Panama's town prepares to live a weekend filled with emotions, reflections and encounters with performing art.

From workshops to theatrical sets, each proposal invites us to discover the wealth of voices that build the panorama of Panama's theater.

The day began with the workshop "Academic production and employment generation in the Panamanian Teatral industry," by Sandy Correa at the Ministry of Culture, a training space that puts on the table the relationship between theater, creative economy and employment opportunities.

The night will be opened with two functions that promise to be captivated from different perspectives: "Balumala and other Panamanian indigenous stories," by Benjamin Ávila at the Balboa Theater, where the ancestral roots and accounts have been expressed and "The Things That Do Not Fold," a co-production of La Negra and La Chola, that goes up to stage in New Acropolis Panama with a proposal of great expressive force.

On Saturday 27, the stage moves to the Cultural Space San Lorenzo with "Ecos," by Ariadne Betancourt, a work that explores intimate and collective resonances, inviting the public to look at itself as a reflection of memory and sensitivities.

Finally, on Sunday, September 28, the curtain of the Festival will be closed at the Balboa Theater with the presentation of "Pito Quixote Retiro," by Sandy Correa, a staging that promises a thoughtful and powerful closure for this issue.

For more than a week, the 2025 Theater Festival has brought together playwrights, actors, directors and public in an artistic dialogue that celebrates inclusion, cultural diversity and Panamanian creativity. That weekend, the capital's scenarios become witnesses to a closure that reaffirms the vitality of the national theater and its role as an engine for social and cultural transformation.
