Panama, September 16, 2025. From September 20 to 28, Panama's town will be at the stage of the 2025 Theater Festival, a space dedicated to performing arts that will gather performances of theatrical works, children's ensembles, dramatised reading, talking and different performances.

The functions will be presented at the Balboa Theater, the Experimental University Cinema Group (GECU), New Acropolis Panama and the Cultural Space San Lorenzo with the aim of promoting artistic creation, disseminating national talent and bringing the theater closer to the whole community.

Three (3) workshops were also selected from the 6 facilitators who applied: When Silent Becomes Image, (A Theater Workshop for Sordid People) by Jaime Newball and Raquel Arrué, presenting itself on September 20 at the Rasheda Dances Study at 2: 00 p.m.

The "Clothing Workshop Used to Primary Matter" by Mariela Aragón Chiari and presenting itself at Witch Room, Bella Vista at 10: 30 a.m. on September 21

"production and production of employment in the Panamanian Teatral industry," by Sandy Correa, will be presented on September 26 at the Tula Building, Piso M, Ministry of Culture at 2: 00 p.m.

The festival aims to give a voice to Panamanian playwrights and to offer to the public works that inspire social reflection about gender equality, inclusion, cultural diversity and recognition of our roots. It also represents a space for training and participation for artists, managers and teachers that propose to the growth of the national cultural heritage.

Seven theatrical productions stand out for their artistic proposal, performance quality and capacity to adapt to different spaces. The official program of the 2025 Theater Festival includes:

• Balumala and other Panamanian indigenous stories, Benjamin Ávila - September 26, 7: 00 p.m., Teatro Balboa.
• Unburned Things, production of La Negra and La Chola - September 26, 8: 00 p.m., New Acropolis Panama
• Ecos, Ariadne Betancourt - September 27, 8: 00 p.m., Cultural Space San Lorenzo.
• Christ Quixote Treaty, Sandy Correa - September 28, 6: 00 p.m., Balboa Theater.

The 2025 Theater Festival not only celebrates national talent but also becomes a meeting place between the public and performing art, promoting diversity, inclusion and Panamanian creativity.
